The Biomechanics of the Golf Swing is an Important Concept Not to Overlook

The biomechanics of the golf swing refers to your exact movements as well as your body motion you take when you swing the golf club. In order to hit the ball far and accurately, using the appropriate biomechanics is going to be essential. Once you have worked on your biomechanics you will begin to be more confident on the golf course which will enabled you to score better.

Below you will find some important tips on the biomechanics of the golf swing. By learning and implementing these golf swing body motions and concepts, you will begin to improve your golf game, which should allow you to have more fun during your next round of golf.

You need to realize that balance is an essential part of your golf swing biomechanics. To help you achieve good balance, start with a sturdy swing foundation when you address the ball. Space your feet a little more than shoulder's width apart and let your arms hang comfortably when you are setting up to the ball. Make sure you don't reach forward towards the golf ball or have your arms too close to your body.

You need to pay attention to your swing plane. An even swing plane that consistently follows the same arc with every swing is a key to having a good golf swing.

Make sure to keep a consistent swing speed, which is an essential part of the biomechanics of the golf swing. This will help with your golf swing rhythm, and you should aim to have the same rhythm no matter what golf club you are using. Remember, when you increase golf swing speed you will also increase ball flight distance, but you should never swing so fast that it causes you to lose your balance.

The biomechanics of the golf swing is determined by your body working together as a whole and it is the core of your body that will be the key in your swing movement. Your arms, wrists, shoulders, or hips are not where you should concentrate when working on your biomechanics. You should work on your core body movement and coordination of all body parts involved in your golf swing.

Biomechanics of your golf swing will be improved if your body is in good shape. Try some exercises that are specifically designed to help a golfer tone the right areas for improving his golf game. You need to be concentrating on your flexibility and strength when participating in golf exercises. Another key to remember is to always stretch immediately before your round of golf, which can greatly improve your golf swing performance.

Wireless Network Basics

If you've got more than one computer at home, you may be thinking about setting up a wireless network. It can make file-sharing a breeze, with no more having to burn data onto a CD-ROM or trying to fit it all into a memory stick (or -shudder- a floppy disc!) to get it across the room. And going wireless lets you position the router in a convenient central location, without having to run wires along the baseboards or under carpets.

but setting up a wireless (or 'wi-fi') system can be a daunting task if you've never done it. Or is it? With technology today, firing up a wireless router and adding a few access points has never been easier. Many of the setup routines are automated, with your input limited to thinking up a few passwords, or typing in some information off the label on a piece of hardware. Let's take a quick look at some of the hardware common to any wireless setup.

The core of any network is the router. If you already have a broadband/ADSL/cable modem, it's best to get one with the modem function built-in, and replace your existing one. If you don't want to do that, make sure the router you decide upon can be plugged into your modem. The router transmits and receives the signal to your computers. Almost all of them have several Ethernet ports to connect devices with a cable. This is handy if you have a computer or network-accessible printer nearby, and don't need a wireless connection. The important thing to remember when purchasing a router is to make sure it's 802.11g compatible. The 'g' means it's faster than the older 'b' standard. You may see references to an upcoming 'n' standard as well. The final requirements for this standard have not been fully decided as of yet, so if you get a 'pre-n' piece of hardware, the standards may change, leaving your device unable to function properly.

Your computer will need a wireless access point to communicate with the router. There are two main types. The first is the pci wireless network card. This is an internal card, like many modems, and must be installed inside the computer in an empty card slot. These will have an antenna that sticks out of the back of your PC, which may not give you the best signal if the antenna is hidden away. Some models have a short cable for the aerial, so you can mount it somewhere to improve reception.

The second type of network connection is a usb adapter. This attaches to an open usb port on your computer, and has either a built-in antenna, or a cable to a separate aerial, like the pci card. These are portable between computers, but may not receive as well as a built-in card. Also, they can be bumped if they stick out of your computer.

If you have a notebook computer, many of them now have wireless access built in. Older models can use a notebook card, which slides into the PCIMCA slot.

With this basic knowledge, you may find that configuring your own wireless network is amazingly easy. In no time, you can be surfing from anywhere in your house, or passing files back and forth effortlessly from one computer to another. Many other devices can now also access your home network, such as game consoles, cameras and cell phones. Unplug yourself, and see how much fun it can be to go without a wire.

Honda Perks Up Navigation System with Earthquake, Weather Features

Honda has perked up its car navigation system, which provides the fastest route to a destination that avoids traffic jams with the addition of information about earthquakes and warnings of rainfall ahead on roads.

This special Honda service will be offered starting with the remodeled Fit subcompact which will be going on sale in japan later this year. Unfortunately, there are no plans yet to offer the said service to Hondas overseas market according to executive Manabu Nishimae.

In an interview he told reporters, "We believe information services are an important part of a car's quality."

The service is free but drivers have to pay mobile phone bills for relaying data. For frequent users they may avail of data transmission cards for a set with a monthly fee of about $8. In japan alone about 530,000 drivers use the current navigation service in japan or about 40 percent of Honda owners.

How does the additional navigational feature works? Up-to-date, email warnings will be sent to a pre-assigned address when car with the system happens to be in the area of a strong earthquake. This special feature is very handy in quake-prone nations. In case heavy rain is forecasted on a planned route, icons of exclamation marks pop up on the monitor.

Honda, Japan's number 2 automaker has also upgraded its map system with updates that only takes a few minutes to download since it is vital for disks with map data to be updated.

tokyo-based Honda has also found a way to compress data so that portions of a map, such as new roads get relayed gradually. Honda added that with the new navigational system driving time is cut by 20 percent.

Honda is not the only automaker that offer navigation services as a matter of fact all of the worlds major automakers offer this car service but of course with additional twist of their own such as giving directions to restaurants, automatically call ambulances in accidents by connecting to human operators and many more.

Honda's navigation system has a unique feature wherein it collects information from individual Honda cars on the road, its more like Honda cars are talking to each other. In the new earthquake notification service, the system will be able to show which roads have been shut down. This kind of information is so accurate that it could even tell drivers exactly which lane of the freeway is congested, that is according to General Manager Takeshi Imai. He also said, "Honda's telematics is already moving toward the next stage."
